Storytelling and Tales
This project ran four storytelling sessions aimed to encourage an appreciation of the landscape and its impact on the people of Teesdale that would have a multigenerational appeal by using storytellers in the community park. The park has a storytelling bench, with a wonderful view of the dale. The sessions ran over a couple of years and also took in buildings and other locations in Cotherstone. The project also used a variety of storytellers and stories included Peg Powler and the Tees, a story about Percy Myers Rock near Romaldkirk, a village story walk which started with a story in the park followed by stories at the Quaker meeting house, Kennedy's pond and a fallen oak tree in a field.
This project is now complete
