Paths for All People

This is a  programme which has emerged directly from public consultation and keen local interest in improving the range and quality of paths and routes throughout the area.  This encompasses a number of linked projects including: strategic works to extend existing paths and use opportunities afforded by key routes such as the old railway lines; increasing the number of options for circular and connecting routes; improving problem areas and reviewing barriers to enabling greater public access; and involving individuals and local groups in caring for paths and carrying out related activities for greater enjoyment.

If you have an enquiry about a path in the Heart of Teesdale area please use our reporting form available from the downloads section.

There are four main parts to this project: The Greta Way, the Teesdale Way Enhancement Project, the Tees Railway Path Extension and the Romaldkirk Jubilee Footpath.

All these projects are now complete.
