Access in The Heart of Teesdale

This programme emerged directly from widespread public consultation and keen local interest in improving the range and quality of paths throughout the Heart of Teesdale area. Projects included: changing stiles for hand-gates on the Teesdale Way between Eggleston and Gainford, improvement and promotion of paths alongside the River Greta from Rokeby to Bowes, upgrading and revamping of benches, signs and the paths through Flatts Wood in Barnard Castle and enhancing a section of the Tees Railway Path in Cotherstone.
